I spent some time waffling over whether or not I would get the Jesta. But eventually, between stellar kit reviews and the grunt suit kick I've been on lately, I picked it up. The kit is pretty well designed, and I love the plain black and grey color scheme. It's not flashy, and unfortunately blends into my shelf, but it epitomizes the idea of a grunt suit. No flash, all function.

Cable
I don't know Cable all that much. I anticipate that will change as he becomes more a part of the mainstream X-Men when he stars in Deadpool 2. The figure is pretty cool, he looks great and has some nice guns.

1/100 Grimgerde
Alright, so I've tried out two IBO kits in the 1/100 scale and I've so far come to the conclusion that I don't like the mobile suits from IBO. I love the series (only seen season one so far), but the designs, specifically of the lead suits, leaves a lot to be desired.

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altair was the original Assassin's Creed protagonist. While he didn't exactly have a great deal of personality, he left a great mark on the franchise and is still the most recognizable character in the series. This figure is great, I love that the throwing knives are all individual items. The drawback, for me, is the hood. It just seems off.

RG GP01Fb "Zephyranthes" Full Burnern
I was never a huge fan of the GP01, I always found the GP02 from the same series to be a much more interesting mobile suit. But the RG of this kit looked pretty cool, and I was not disappointed. It's a pretty interesting feat at 1/144 scale to include a transforming core fighter to make a core block (unfortunately, it didn't come with a spare core block like MG kits often do, and I don't want to continually disassemble the kit and risk unstability).

Director Orson Krennic
So, I really, really loved Rogue One. It fulfilled every expectation, and blew right past most of them. I'm hoping to pick up one of the Target exclusive 3-packs at some point to get Jyn, Cassian, and the Deathtrooper, so I haven't gotten any of them yet. And K-2SO is predictably difficult to find. I have procured our villain, though. I really enjoyed his role in the film. He's not evil for evil's sake (ahem, Palpatine), he's just trying to get ahead at his workplace.

Phoenix
I'll admit, I never read or even know of any stories containing Jean Grey as Phoenix. I know a little bit about it, the Phoenix Force saved Jean's life (or replaced her entirely, I'm unclear), turning her into one of the most all-powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. As for the figure, I just liked the look of it, and was already starting to build a decent group of X-Men (as well as most of the Juggernaut Build-a-Figure). But I did feel that the figure could be a bit better. I want better articulation. It seems that with the female characters, it's more important to create a well-molded butt than it is for good leg articulation, which I can understand from a marketing direction, I guess. There aren't any accessories, though I don't know the character well enough to suggest any. Maybe some extra hands would be nice.

MG Astray Red Frame Kai
So here's another kit I pretty much refuse to take out of its current pose. It's just too good. I really like this kit quite a bit, but not for the same reason I like most kits. This one just seems so over the top, with the two katanas and the weapons system that changes from a giant sword to a giant bow. I like the head on the Astrays, as well as the torsos. I'm not a huge fan of the leg armor and shape, but at least its pretty unique.

Scarlet Witch
So a couple of weeks ago this figure popped up on Amazon under my recommendations for only about $22, which is significantly better than the $30-40 I had been seeing it for. So I snatched it up. I like the figure, it looks good and is very grounded. It reflects a more realistic version of the character than the comic book version (a la the entire MCU) The only issue I have is that the way that the figure was packaged, it seems that the right leg is not very stable. The knee joint seems loose. And it's actually bent a little out of shape, which is why I have to try hiding it with a walking pose, which requires a figure stand, which doesn't fit very well. So she falls over quite a bit.
