75092 Naboo Starfighter

The Naboo starfighter is kind of an odd thing. It's quite a beautiful design, but it's not exactly iconic in the same way the X-Wing, Y-Wing, or Tie Fighter are. The kit comes with some fun accessories to recreate some more of the hangar scene, including a ladder to use to get your figure into the ship and a mount for the ship to rest on. It includes young Anakin Skywalker, young Obi-Wan Kenobi, a fighter pilot, three battle droids and two destroyer droids.

MG Providence Gundam

The Providence Gundam probably would have been the most exciting kit to be released this year if it weren't for the upcoming ZZ Gundam ver. Ka. I love this kit and the details included in it. We've got the rubber hoses under the chest, the vulcan guns mounted in the head and shoulders, as well as the multi-shaded armor on the head. The dragoons and their mounting locations are individually numbered, the wrist is flexible enough to actually hold up the giant "Judicium" beam rifle, and there are a lot of awesome vents all over the legs.

8092 Luke's Landspeeder

This is an older lego kit, which I already have a newer version of. It's not bad, and the kit itself didn't need updating as far as I was concerned (they've produced 2 more since this one). What did need updating were the figures: Luke's pretty week, there have been better R2-D2s, and Obi-Wan Kenobi has also looked better. The sandtrooper is great.

75085 Hailfire Droid

This is one of those "blink and you miss it" vehicles from the Star Wars Universe. It showed up in Attack of the Clones just long enough to launch a missile which would end up destroying an AT-TE. But the battle was probably my favorite sequence from the prequilogy, and this droid was pretty unique looking. The lego kit makes for a unique, if smaller than I'd like, addition to the collection.

K-2SO

So the absolute standout character in Rogue One was obviously K-2SO. While Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso were both compelling characters, "K" was the heart of the movie. He created both the comedic moments, as well as being the character for whom we created the earliest and most endearing attachment. The figure is a little different, and it all comes down to one thing: my figure has red eyes, which turns him from friendly to kind of horrifying. It turns out it is a variation that comes along with the reissue of the wave, so it's not unique, but not on every version of the figure. I may have to try and repaint the eyes, but that could be easy to screw up.
