Cubone

Here's just a little one, another Pokemon Mega-Construx, one of the small packs. He comes in a Poke Ball, and also, Cubone is one of my all-time favorites.

Sarah Ryder

Even after the letdown of Andromeda, I'm still a huge Mass Effect fan. And really, I enjoyed Andromeda quite a bit. I liked Scott a little better than Sarah, but they were both entertaining enough. These McFarlane figures always look pretty good, but don't stand up to the quality of a lot of the imported figures (think Figuarts). Still, for the price, not a bad deal.

PG Skygrasper and Aile-Striker Pack

This was technically the first PG I built, but it's not nearly the type of build that the actual PG gundam kits are. This wasn't even as much work as an MG, except that I did a lot of painting on the cockpit and the turbines in the striker pack (my best work, as it turns out, got covered up by the armor pieces). It's a decent addition to the PG Strike, but not in any way necessary for the Gundam to be as impressive as it can be.

PG Strike Gundam

So, technically, this would officially be my second Perfect Grade, since I got the Skygrasper kit first, but really, it's basically my first one (hopefully not my last, but PGs are so expensive). I was super impressed with this thing. The Strike has become one of my all-time favorite protagonist gundams, and while the MG ver RM is a fantastic kit, this thing is a work of art.

It looks great from any angle, but the true beauty of this kit is what lies below the armor. The frame is really, really cool. There's so much to it and the ways in which it moves and adds detail, there's more than I could really show off in pictures of the finished product. I wish I had taken photos during the construction.

There's only two minor gripes I can make, and that is that the shoulder armor seems to fit a bit loosely and that the stickers often seem to be over-sized. Other than that, everything's solid and moves better than I ever thought a kit this size would move. It also balances very well for a kit this size. I'm really looking forward to trying another PG kit at some point, we'll just have to see if I can find a good enough deal.

Flash

I just think of Queen's old Flash Gordon theme whenever I talk about the Flash. I was never a huge fan of the character, but the CW show has done an admirable job making him interesting. They do, however, fall into the same trap that seems to affect all super-hero fair... he always ends up fighting an evil version of himself (sometimes literally in this case).

Hamma Hamma

I hate the name, and in many ways I was not a fan of the design in the actual anime, but damn this is such a cool looking model kit. Looks-wise there's only one improvement I would make, and that's the claws. They just don't look that great out of the box. As far as functionality, it's a very top-heavy kit with weak ankles. Don't expect it to stand on it's own, it's going to need an action base. The shield is also quite heavy and pulls the whole thing to one side. Weight and balance are the biggest issues for this whole thing.
