I don't usually go for large Super Heroes themed sets from Lego. I don't usually care for the actual set, just the figures, so I usually only get the cheaper $15-25 sets that have characters I like. When I first saw this set at the store, I just went "Oh, that's kind of cool," but never thought of buying it. Then, I found out that the set comes with a really awesome Poison Ivy figure (other figures include Batman, Dick Grayson, Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, and Joker), which caused me to look a little closer at the set and I realized just how cool the Scuttler really is. The thing is a mechanized crawling bat, combining my favorite type of lego set (mech) and one of the creepiest looking animals in the world. I managed to price match it to Amazon and then use my employee discount in order to get the set for 35% off, dropping it to about $50. For that much, I could certainly justify the set. And I have to admit, as little as I care to see the movie, Lego Batman has some of the most appealing Super Heroes sets at the moment.
