While not as iconic as it's older siblings the X-Wing and the Y-Wing, the A-Wing is one of the older, more venerable starfighters in the Star Wars universe. Its simple wedge shape and small size make it an easily overlooked fighter, but luckily Lego turned out this nice little kit. The A-Wing is beautifully done, even if there are some problems with fragility in the rear stabilizers. Legos, and lego vehicles in particular, have come a long way from the blocky structures of my childhood, and this sleek fighter proves it. Also, the set comes with Admiral "It's a Trap!" Ackbar, Han Solo, and an A-Wing pilot, so there's a decent set of figures for a kit that doesn't necessarily call for any named characters.
