The snowtrooper was all but cut from the final version of the film in
The Force Awakens, appearing only in the scene in which Starkiller Base is first fired off. I really loved the original snowtrooper, and this version really does a great job of keeping up most of the reasons for which I loved them. They cut the same figure, with the cloak reminding me of 13th century knightly surcoats. The armor looks great, maybe even better than the earlier snowtroopers, but again, I'm not a fan of the helmets. The old snowtroopers had a cloth-like mask as opposed to the hard, armored masks of these snowtroopers.
