Marvel Legends -- Valkyrie

I'm a guy of many interests and likes. This figure appeals to several of them. I am a big fan of history, particularly the middle ages. I love Viking history, lore, and literature. I've read many of the poetic eddas and sagas. I'm also a fan of the strong female character trope, and the proliferation of female characters lately that fit that archetype. I like swords. I also like attractive women. This Valkyrie (probably Brunhilde) speaks to all of these interests.
But I probably wouldn't have bought this figure if I hadn't been building a collection of Norse-styled superheroes. You'll see more of them at some point. While the figure matches the drawn character, the design doesn't lead to all that impressive a figure. She's just plain black from the waist down, and could definitely use some added texture or detail. Or hell, if they even gave her boots.
From the waist up, she's pretty awesome. Her arms show the obvious action figure joints, but they help to make her arms appear more muscular. I also love the braids, I feel the paint job and mold are excellent.
