The Hi-Nu (or Hi-v) Gundam is an alternate design of the original Nu-Gundam as seen in the novel Mobile Suit Gundam: Beltorchika's Children. It has pretty much all the same features as the original design of the Nu-Gundam, but features a physique that is slightly bulkier and more intimidating.
The head is a little wider and is mounted in a position which makes it look like it's already tilted down, making it seem just a little meaner than the original design. The kit also features the same led gimmick, which is again just a little difficult to use because of the way you access it.
The Hi-Nu also goes back to having a chest that protrudes forward a bit, giving it kind of an odd look in profile.
But, much like the original Nu-Gundam, what sold me on this kit was the fin funnels. On the Hi-Nu, the funnels are mounted on two separate wings, giving an angelic appearance kind of like the Wing 0. I find that, in addition to having a gundam foot-fetish (see the Nu-Gundam post), I also have a gundam wing fetish (see posts on the Destiny, Hi-Nu, etc. and upcoming posts on Aile Strike, Freedom, Epyon, etc.).
