MG Dom

When I first went out to my local hobby store and saw this kit sitting on the shelf, I got so excited. It's not often they carry a master grade Zeon suit, and it's certainly not often that they carry a kit that's nearly twenty years old. I didn't even have to browse that day.
The MS-09 Dom was released in June 1999 and definitely lacks the intricate inner frames of modern kits, but this model is surprisingly pretty good. It looks great, and I'm not usually one to enjoy the looks of the Dom. It's very stable, and most importantly, it can properly hold its bazooka, which is saying a lot for a 20th century kit. Purple seems a tough color for Bandai to get right, but the purple on this kit looks great. Also, not that I'm starting to improve my painting skill, I can see this kit being pretty rife for customization options. One of my favorite small details is the small gap in the front of the skirt armor and they way it helps keep the armor in place.
