One of the earliest posts I made on this blog was the work in progress of my Sazabi ver. Ka. It has been a while in the making, but finally I've actually gotten around to posting the finished product. The MSN-04 Sazabi was the personal mobile suit of Char Aznable for his final battle against Amuro Ray and the Nu-Gundam as seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. It's the biggest bad and one of the most iconic suits of probably the most iconic Gundam character. After all, every other Gundam series includes their own version of the Char character, often getting suits reminiscent of the Sazabi.
The Sazabi comes armed with a large variety of weapons (many I left out of this photo shoot): beam sabers, funnels, mega particle cannons, the beam-shot rifle (shotgun), the long beam rifle, shield and dual beam tomahawks. The suit naturally comes complete with a psycommu system to allow newtypes to control the funnels and the suit with the use of psychic waves.
This is the first time I've ever applied water-slide decals. I always found them to be intimidating, because I remember as a child my father being pretty impatient with them. I find them to actually be much easier than I anticipated, and of course, they look great. Eventually, I would like to get another Sazabi once I get an airbrush and become proficient with it. I also wouldn't mind creating a "Sleeves" version of the Sazabi as well.
